Your ultra trail race kit guide

We all know the importance of preparation for the big day. Below you will find our guide to trail running with all of the kit essentials from your pre-race training kit, on-route running and overnight must-haves.

Pre-Event kit

  • Sports nutrition – practice on what will fuel you through the race
  • Your ultra trail race running kit – make sure you run in your kit prior to wear it in
  • Make sure your feet are ultra-ready with Profeet 3D analysis, custom insoles and footwear
  • Secure supporters who will be cheering you through each lap
  • Plan your travel and book your extras

Carry on the trails

We have an abundance of supplies at our festival basecamp and pitstops but it’s always sensible to carry a range of items for when you’re on the trail:

  • Running kit and trainers
  • Reusable cup/ mug
  • Suncream
  • Waterproof jacket
  • Fully charged mobile phone
  • At least 750ml water
  • Head torch and batteries (compulsory after 8pm)
  • Cash/ Credit card
  • Some of your favourite trail snacks

Overnight camping

  • Tent
  • Sleeping bag
  • Camping mat
  • Towel
  • Warm clothes
  • Beanie
  • Spare clothes and socks
  • Waterproofs
  • Travel Pillow
  • Ear plugs/ eye mask
