Connect With Your Fellow Runners on Heylo

Race News

As the old proverb says, “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together.”

Whilst for many people taking on a challenge like Endure24 is a deeply personal challenge, getting to the finish line is often a team effort. Whether it’s sharing the miles in training or supporting each other during the event itself, having a community around you can make all the difference out on the trails.

For that reason, we are delighted to announce that we will be bringing Endure24 to the community platform Heylo, to help our incredible community of runners and walkers connect with one another.

By providing dedicated virtual spaces for participants and those interested in taking part to chat, ask questions, share training tips, and connect with others in their local area, it’s our hope that Heylo will help create a smoother journey in the build-up to Endure24.

Our decision to launch on Heylo was in part a result of research undertaken as part of our Threshold Trail Series Ultra 50:50 initiative. When we surveyed over 500 female ultrarunners, asking them about the challenges they faced when taking on an ultramarathon, Safety & Harrasment emerged as major obstacles for some.

Running alone, especially at night, was a concern for many due to safety issues and fear of harassment during training runs or races. Safety concerns often lead women to avoid running in remote or secluded areas, impacting their training opportunities, and limiting their participation in trail events in rural locations.

It is our hope that by providing a space for our participants to connect with one another and potentially find training partners in their local area, we can at least help to alleviate these concerns in a small way.
